Since we introduced the first volume in our series of CDs aimed at helping Year 11 students get the most out of their Practical Project, Datagraphix has been overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received since its launch.

Teachers and lecturers have acclaimed our simple yet effective approach to one of the more problematic areas of the GCSE syllabus. They have applauded our efforts to make students of all abilities more aware of what they could achieve by showing them the work of their contemporaries and peers in an accessible, navigable format.

As a result of the appreciation shown for Volume 1: Resistant Materials and Volume 2: Graphic Products, Datagraphix is now completing a third title: Volume 3: Graphic Products. Orders are now being taken for the CD.

NB - All volumes of the CDs in the GCSE Practical Projects range are now priced at £44.95. This price is INCLUSIVE of p&p. Ignore any other prices that you might see on our literature or on this website.

All of the material we include on our CDs is authentic: it has not been re-touched or modified in any shape or form. It represents the genuine efforts of students, drawn from a wide range of abilities, and gives encouragement and inspiration to students following them: it shows just what pitfalls should be avoided and offers a plethora of suggestions on how best young people can showcase their own design ideas.

Each CD is attractively designed and packaged and contains a wealth of relevant stimulus material that will encourage and spur on your own students. The CD’s unique format ensures that even the most inept of students can navigate unaided through an impressive range of material, without fear of becoming confused or sidetracked.

The CD’s structure and ‘look and feel’ mirrors that of the stages of the practical project itself so even the most IT-averse student will have nothing to fear from its user-friendly and intuitive interface.

Each project stage is amply illustrated by a gallery of students’ work and the exemplars cover a range of grades and are both computer-generated and hand-worked. In addition, students can access each stage of a single student’s work and follow her project from inception through to completion.
